The guys from Nick Tech were so prompt and courteous, and came to my rescue when my air conditioning abruptly stopped working. American Home Shield home warranty service chose them to answer my service request; before this, I had not heard of Nick Tech. Within 15 minutes of getting off the phone with AHS, Nick Tech was on the phone with me trying to schedule the soonest possible appointment! These guys don't mess around! I was at work and couldn't get home quick enough to meet them, so Nick Tech immediately rescheduled, no hassle or fee, to a spot later that night. There was none of the standard service call hassle routine of "we'll be there between 7am and 7pm so you have to wait all day for us, and there's a $100 emergency fee, and a fee for..." which was terrific. They kept in constant contact with me via telephone until they arrived, and were very professional and helpful. They worked quickly, didn't try to charge me for unnecessary repairs, and showed me exactly what they were doing to my unit to make sure it would work efficiently. Did I mention they did this in the 105-degree heat? They then came into my house to make sure that the unit was actually cooling, and checked the whole system from top to bottom. I also noticed that they were very respectful inside my home; didn't let the cat out, walk in my house with dirty equipment of shoes, or leave the door open (and drive up my power bill) to let the hot air back in. The techs showed me the broken selenoid (?) part, and gave me pointers on how to make my unit last longer and to prevent future repairs. Even if I don't continue with AHS, I'll continue to use and refer Nick Tech. Perfect!!
