The business has evolved over the years from commercial photography, family portraits, infants, children high school seniors and photo restoration.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Established in 1984 Jay Cowle Photography began soon after Susan and Jay were married. Jay's interest in photography began early in high school and continued as a hobby well after graduating collage. After leaving restaurant management, Jay move back to Los Angeles, CA to attend Santa Monica College to learn more about the techniques of photography, posing and lighting and working as an assistant to several commercial photographers in LA. This is where Jay honed his skill become one of the most recognized photographers in Sacramento and northern California. The business has evolved over the years from commercial photography to wedding photography, family portraits, infants, children and high school seniors.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Great lighting and photographic skills as well as the ability to work well with people to manage their project.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location which we have had since 1984. We decided to stay with the one location in order to serve our clients with the personal service that we would expect.

We are located 2.5 miles east on Madison Ave. from Interstate 80.

We service northern California with a primary focus in the Sacramento vicinity.

Jay and Susan own and run the company
What are your hours of operation?
We are opened Monday through Friday 10AM to 6PM.
Saturday from 10AM to 5PM.
Closed on Sunday except for scheduled photo shoots.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
When a photograph that we have created brings tears to the clients eyes.
